About Csuite

C-Suite Research is a think tank focused on creating thought leadership on current issues of importance to members of top management teams. This site, c-suiteresearch.com, is our vehicle for sharing our work and the work of others. Nate Bennett is the Catherine W. and Edwin A. Wahlen Professor of Management at Georgia Tech. His research has appeared in respected academic journals such as the Academy of Management Review, the Academy of Management Journal, and the Journal of Applied Psychology. Additionally, he has published findings from his work in both the Harvard Business Review and Wall Street Journal. He is co-author of the 2006 Stanford University Press title "Riding Shotgun: The Role of the COO." He is a frequent speaker and commentator in business press, is involved in the design and delivery of executive development programs for companies in a wide range of industries, and has an active practice as a consultant on issues related to top management team performance, leadership, change management, and strategy execution (Red Buoy Consulting).

Nate Bennett

Stephen Miles is the Regional Managing Partner, Americas, within Heidrick & Struggles' Leadership Consulting Practice, and he oversees the worldwide Executive Assessment/Succession Planning Practice. Stephen focuses on CEO succession and he has partnered with numerous Boards of Fortune 500 companies to ensure a successful leadership selection and transition occurs. He is a recognized expert on the role of the Chief Operating Officer and has consulted to numerous companies on the establishment and the effectiveness of the position. Additionally, he coaches a small number of very senior global executives at the COO/CEO level. He focuses on high performance coaching with a heavy emphasis on the business and cultural context. Stephen works extensively internationally and his clients cut across all industry sectors. Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Stephen held various positions at Andersen Consulting.
